I Still Remember is a heartfelt tribute to the cherished memories of our cottage on the Northumberland Strait. The painting captures the wonder of childhood adventures—exploring sandbars, filling a boat with silver dollars collected alongside my brother, and swimming in waters that, just a day earlier, cradled massive chunks of ice. It celebrates the magic of those idyllic times while carrying the bittersweet ache of longing for my parents and brother, who are no longer here. This piece reflects on love, loss, and the enduring power of memory to keep those we hold dear close to our hearts.
