Jewellery With Meaning
Years ago, Kristen's parents started a small handmade jewellery company with a passion for creating beautiful, handcrafted pieces. As a creative individual, Kristen embraced the opportunity to continue what they started. Following a recent rebrand, she now brings fresh ideas and designs while staying true to the craftsmanship that originally shaped the brand.
The name Lulu & Hew Jewellery was inspired by some of the people who mean the most to Kristen — her mother and daughter, who both share the middle name Lu, and the memory of her beautiful and talented stepson, Hewson, whom she misses dearly.

The Art Of Healing
Years ago, at the dining room table, sat her beautiful and talented stepson, painting a picture of Peggy’s Cove, one of his absolute favourite places. She decided to sit down with him to try her hand at painting, which she had not done for at least a decade or more. Her initial intention was simple: to share a moment with him. Little did she realize that this would awaken the artist within her.
For Kristen, art is more than just creation—it’s a way to navigate grief and transform emotion into something tangible. Through painting, she channels loss into colour, texture, and form, finding healing in the process. Each piece tells a story of remembrance, resilience, and the beauty that can emerge from sorrow.
Beyond The Canvas
Kristen’s love of digital art and illustration brings her creativity to a new canvas—merchandise. With a passion for bold designs and thoughtful details, she transforms her creativity and artwork into wearable pieces, home goods, and prints that celebrate artistry in everyday life. Whether through intricate illustrations or abstract compositions, Kristen’s work is a reflection of her love for making art both beautiful and accessible.
